THE INFAMOUS GIG CALENDER. For reasons that are only known to a young kid with way too much time and energy on his hands, I started jotting down the gigs I was attending from mid-1984 (when I started my club-hopping) to 1987 (when I stopped writing stuff down and started keeping only Voice clippings). This list is not comprehensive (and certainly not exclusively "garage") but, by looking through it, you can see how rich the music scene was during this short, glorious period. The goal is to get those other post '87 gigs down as well—eventually. When all is said and done I'm hoping that this will also serve in helping others to pin down events and places in thier own musical journey. Without further adeu:
